About the event

For more information visit host organisation website: https://www.tsoel.org.uk/bmc

We will explore the supporting structures shaping, containing and facilitating our breathing processes including our ribs, skull, spine and pelvic cavities, and their relationships to the form and function of our diaphragms. And we will explore anatomy models and maps in considering the anatomy & physiology of breathing and how this life process is expressed in each of us; our rhythm, pace, energy and patterns of expression.

Throughout the workshop we will take time for rest, time to move, dance, sound and voice, and time for guided hands-on-touch upon ourselves and in partners with opportunities for somatic writing & drawing & reflective dialogue.

Our state of wellbeing is manifested in our breathing. We are always as our breathing is and our breath is always responding to how we are.

Deepening our kinaesthetic awareness to the structures of our breathing allows us to better embody our inner sense of self, opening pathways of expression between your unconscious and conscious mind.
